Story 1

In all kinds of situations, I am judged by my gender. In many encounters, I am primarily WOMAN!

For example:

In a management team with only men and me being the only woman, I was often expected to fetch the coffee or do the reporting because I was ‘so good at it’. And how I actually combine my role in this team with children. My male colleagues don’t get that question! I feel like I have to prove myself extra and do my best every time. It feels like I am ‘less’ as a woman.

I usually make a light-hearted comment about it to make it negotiable. Someone who exhibits micro-aggressive behaviour is often insufficiently aware of this.
